Your personal integrity is important to us and therefore we want to inform you about where your personal data is obtained from, how we use it and what rights you have. Here you can read about how Grace of the Lord Ministries processes personal data (GDPR).

As a member of Grace of the Lord Ministries, you are part of an organization. The church arranges activities such as Sunday services, Bible study, other weekly and monthly meetings and other activities like fellowship and picnic. In order for the church to be able to offer such services, organisation must collect and process certain personal data.

We process this personal data

We process, among other things, name, contact details, social security number, marital status, date of registration in Sweden, email, phone and baptism details.

Why we process your personal data

We need to maintain the membership details of all our members registered at Grace of the Lord Ministries.

We also process your personal data in order to be able to communicate with you as a member of the church and so that you can participate in church services and activities. If you, as a member, are underage, we may process information about guardians in order to be able to communicate with you.

We also have to process your and, in some cases, your family members’ personal data before, during and after the performance of certain activities, for example to be able to handle administration around confirmation, baptism and marriage.

How long we process your personal data

We process your personal data while you are a member of the Grace of the Lord Ministries. In some cases, we continue to process your data even after you have ceased to be a member.

    • We process withdrawan members for three years after withdrawal of membership
    • We treat deceased members for five years after the date of death

Grace of the Lord Ministries is also obliged to register and archive documents, which means that in some cases we further process your personal data for archival purposes of general interest.

This is where the information comes from

For church documents, personal identification numbers are obtained directly from the registered person or their guardian. Otherwise, people contact information is obtained from the population register or from the registered person.

Personal data in social media

Grace of the Lord Ministries is active in YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. The data we process about you are photos, comments and posts you write in the group, as well as what is public on your profile. Your consent also applies if your public information that could be perceived as sensitive personal data.

The purpose of using social media is primarily to reach further with our videos and posts that we do not usually reach in other communications.

Your rights according to the data protection regulation

If you have consented to Grace of the Lord Ministries processing your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. We may continue to process the data in accordance with the original consent, but we will not update or supplement the data.
